How to connect

Connected in four steps

Works with ChatGPT, Claude (claude.ai, Claude Desktop and Claude Code) and any client that supports remote MCP servers.

  1. Get the server URL

Ask your Wendor account team for the Wendor MCP server URL.

  2. Add Wendor to your assistant

In ChatGPT or Claude, open the connector settings and add a custom connector with that URL. Other MCP clients take the same URL.

  3. Sign in with your Wendor login

Approve the connection with the account you use for the Wendor dashboard. The assistant gets the same access as that login.

  4. Ask in plain language

Name your machines, sites or products. The assistant fetches live data from Wendor, or makes the change you ask for.

You stay in control

The assistant works through your Wendor login, so it can only reach what that login can. Every check and change shows in the chat, and you can disconnect it from your assistant's settings at any time.

FAQ

Questions about the Wendor MCP

What operators ask before connecting an AI assistant to their machines.

What is the Wendor MCP?

It is an MCP server for Wendor's vending software. MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard that lets AI assistants use outside tools and data, so ChatGPT, Claude and other assistants can read and update your Wendor account when you ask.

Which AI assistants work with it?

ChatGPT, Claude, and any assistant or tool that supports remote MCP servers.

  • ChatGPT: add Wendor as a custom connector
  • Claude: claude.ai, Claude Desktop and Claude Code through custom connectors
  • Other clients: any app that accepts a remote MCP server URL
  • Some assistants only offer custom connectors on certain plans
Can the assistant change things, or only read data?

Both. It reads sales, stock and machine health, and it can change prices and products on your machines.

  • It works through your Wendor login, so it reaches only the machines and actions that login can
  • Assistants show when they use Wendor, so you can see what was checked or changed
Do I need to be a Wendor customer?

Yes. The MCP connects to the Wendor vending software, so it works for machines that run on Wendor. New to Wendor? Book a demo and we will show it on a live fleet.

How do I disconnect it?

Remove the Wendor connector in your assistant's settings at any time. Your machines, the dashboard and the apps carry on as before.
